Welcome to the Library!

LVA has reached the final due date for checking out books for the 2025-2026 school year. But you can still check out books until May 1st. April is Jazz Appreciation Month, International Guitar Month, Poetry Month, National Arab American Heritage Month, anong many other recognitions. So come to the library and check out books on these and thousands of other topics. Just Read, Darn It!

The Las Vegas Academy Library supports curricular goals and empowers students to become effective users of information by providing up-to-date resources in a variety of formats and the training to use them. We are dedicated to inclusion as the foundation of emotional, social, and academic growth and support of all individuals. It is inclusive of all races, ethnicities, cultures, religions and beliefs, sexual orientations, gender identities, socioeconomic statuses, abilities, and living arrangements. Above all, the LVA library promotes acceptance, respect, and academic integrity at all times.

Students may check out a maximum of 5 books unless they have overdue books.
Students must know their student ID number to check out. (If you have forgotten it, I can give it to you.)
Books are checked out for a period of 15 school days. All students are given a nine-school-day grace period from the due date to return books.
Students will then be charged 10¢ per day for books to a maximum of $5.00 per book.
Damaged books will be assessed a fine based on the extent of the damage. Students who return books that are damaged beyond repair will be responsible for the replacement cost of the book.
Students who lose books are responsible for the replacement cost of the book.
All library materials must be returned before the last day of school or the material will be marked as lost.
All fines and charges remain on the students records until resolved. Fines must be paid to the school banker.
