Internet Safety and Cyberbullying
Computers are an important and invaluable tool in education. But, as Spiderman found out, “With great power comes great responsibility.” The Las Vegas Acadent is committed to teaching all students about their responsibilities in using the internet, both at school and at home.
Staying Safe
Following these suggestions can keep everyone safe while traveling the information highway.
· Ask your parents before you give personal information to anyone on the internet.
· Don’t respond to a message if it makes you feel uncomfortable.
· Never try to meet with anyone that you’ve met online unless you talk to your parents first and an adult is with you.
· Don’t believe everything that you read or are told online. Some people purposely try to mislead others, so if something doesn’t seem right discuss it with an adult that you trust.
